The AFGS system consists of the following components:

IMPORTANT: The BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD must be clamped off on vehicles with
AFGS
active pedestrian protection!
Do not damage adjoining body components!
Minor corrections (realignment work) are permitte

Rear seats
General information
The seat adjustment switches are located on the
center armrest of the rear seats.
If the safety switch is pressed, the seats cannot
be adjusted.

Warning
There is a risk of jamming when folding down
the center armrest in
Integrated Sensor System
The sensors that were previously accommodated separately in the DSC sensor
are now installed in the ICM
control unit.
The ICM control unit uses these sensors to calculate variables that provide key
information on the vehicle's
dynamic state:
Longitudinal acceleration and pitch of the vehicle in
