The AFGS system consists of the following components:

IMPORTANT: The BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD must be clamped off on vehicles with
AFGS
active pedestrian protection!
Do not damage adjoining body components!
Minor corrections (realignment work) are permitte
Check Actuator
Necessary preliminary tasks
REMOVE ACTUATOR
Check actuator for damage.

DAMAGE.
If the control arm or tie rod is bent, it is essential for safety reasons to
check the spring strut piston rod for straightness.

Replacing Carriage For Rain Channel On Left And Right
Necessary preliminary tasks
Remove GLASS SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF LID
Remove RAIN CHANNEL
Lever out garage stop (1) with plastic wedge.

Advance carriage (1) up to opening and lift out.
