Pay attention to the specifications and the operating and safety information from the child restraint system manufacturer when selecting, installing, and using LATCH child restraint fixing systems.
Mounts for the lower LATCH anchors
General information
The lower anchors may be used to attach the CRS to the vehicle seat up to a combined child and CRS weight of 65 lbs/30 kg when the child is restrained by the internal harnesses.

Warning
If the LATCH child restraint fixing systems are not correctly engaged, the protective effect of the LATCH child restraint fixing system can be limited. There is a risk of injuries or danger to life. Make sure that the lower anchors are securely engaged and that the LATCH child restraint fixing system fits securely against the backrest.

Seats equipped with lower anchors are marked with a pair, (2), of LATCH symbols.
For vehicles equipped with a middle seat: It is not recommended to use the inner lower anchors of standard outer LATCH positions to fasten a child restraint system on the middle seat. Use the vehicle safety belt instead for the middle seat.
Before installing LATCH child restraint fixing systems
Pull the safety belt away from the area of the child restraint system.
Without comfort rear seats: assembly of LATCH child restraint fixing systems
- Install child restraint system, see manufacturer's information.
- Ensure that both LATCH anchors are properly engaged.
With comfort rear seats: assembly of LATCH child restraint fixing systems
- Before mounting, adjust the seats to their basic
position.
Reset to standard position.
- For better accessibility, tilt the backrest back slightly.
- Install child restraint system, see manufacturer's information.
- Ensure that both LATCH anchors are properly engaged.
- After mounting, move the backrest back up slightly so that the child restraint system rests lightly against the backrest.

Cylinders 1-4:
Necessary preliminary work
Remove right CYLINDER HEAD COVER
Remove FAN COWL with electric fan
Remove BELT PULLEY for air co
Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Charge Air Cooler (N63)
WARNING: Risk of scalding! Only perform this repair work after
engine has cooled down!
Necessary preliminary work
Remove ACOUSTIC COVER
Remove front UNDERBODY PROTECTION.
Remove FAN COWL.
Drain coolant for charge air cooler.
Release clamp (1).
Tightening torque 13 71 8AZ.
Release clamp (2).
