Situation
When a shock absorber is faulty on one side (leaking, noises, etc.), often
both shock absorbers on the axle in
question are replaced.

This is not necessary for technical reasons and

IMPORTANT: Both coil springs on the relevant axle must be replaced only in
the event of
corrosion breakage!
The coil spring is allocated in the Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) under
the menu
REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ANTI-ROLL BAR LINK (STABILIZER
LINK) FOR LEFT/RIGHT STABILIZER
IMPORTANT: Observe SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS for raising the vehicle
Unscrew nuts (1).
Remove anti-roll bar

Unclip cover (1) at side recess (arrowed) and remove towards bottom.

Unclip lamp housing (1) at side recess (arrowed).

Disconnect flat connector (1) from flat connector contact.

CAUTIO
IMPORTANT: Do not kink, twist or crush lines.
Do not disassemble screw connection!
Fitting new screw connection
Insert complete new screw connection consisting of toothed ring (1), banjo
bolt (2) and assembly plug (3) into
air spring/pipe connection of air supply unit.
Tightening torque 37 12 3AZ
